Week of 4/11-4/16 - Thomas Hoefer '17, Track and Field
Thomas ran in both the FCA Goforth Invitational and the Buncombe County Championships. In those 2 meets, Thomas ran on five relay teams that set season bests. He also PR'ed in the 200m (24.45) at the Buncombe County Championships. Thomas has been a quiet leader all season. He has simply put his head down and competed with strength and courage in every competition. Thomas is an important athlete for the Christ School track team and the coaches look forward to seeing his progression as an athlete and a leader for the remainder of the 2016 track season.

Week of 4/18-4/23 - Miller Kaderabek '18, Kayaking, Canoe
After competing in the US Ollympic Trails for Rio, which qualified him for the US Senior Team, last weekend, Miller competed in the U.S. Junior Championships and with teammate Wes Bolyard finished first in Tandem Kayaking. That 1st place finish allows him to compete in the World Championships in Krakow, Poland this summer.

Week of 4/25-4/30 - Michael Reynolds '18, Varsity Baseball
After being on the DL for the season during which he kept score and attended practices, Michael got the ok to play. His first at bat against Asheville School he walked, stole a base and scored a run. His next trip to the late resulted in a booming double. Yesterday, he was 2 for 3. Michael has proven this season what commitment to his teammates means. He has been there supporting them and now he is in there working with them. What a great lesson for us all to learn.

Week of 5/2-5/7 - Beau Hecimovich '20, Varsity Lacrosse
Beau Hecimovich turned in a masterful performance last week against Charlotte Country Day, recording 18 huge saves against one of the top teams in the state. He now has a save percentage over 61%.

Week of 5/9-5/15 - James Turley '17, Theater
James Turley stepped into a lead role in our Spring production of Lord of the Flies at the last minute. He dedicated himself to learning all the lines, blocking, and fight choreography in a little over a week. Not only that, he has created a complete character in his Ralph and is giving an amazing performances. This is one of the most heroic things that has happened in theater in all the time I have been here. He represents the best of what it means to be a Greenie!

Week of 5/20/16 - Kevin Snyder '19, Track
Kevin Snyder, just a freshman won the state long jump event at the 3A NCISAA meet.
Week of 9/1/16 - Riley Smith '17, Varsity Soccer
Riley Smith has been a tireless competitor and great leader during the first few weeks of our season. He has scored 5 goals and has 4 assists, which puts him first on the team in points. His effort is second to none, and we will lean heavily on him to push the team during practice and games as the season progresses. On top of that, in his game on Tuesday, he scored all three goals against Rabun Gap on the way to a 3-0 conference win.

Week of 9/9/16 - Vance Stiles '17, Cross Country
In the race of his life on Saturday, Vance Stiles, set a personal and season best record, running a 18:19, shattering his PR by over 20 seconds. At the end of the race he sprinted to pass a runner from Dorman HS; in the process, that runner collapsed after the finish line. Vance turned around walked back and helped that runner to his feet, basically dragging him through the chute to the water area. True heroic performance by one of our amazing leaders in this school.
Week of 9/16/16 - Ryan Caves '18, Varsity Football
Ryan Caves sent all five of his kick offs into the endzone forcing Robbinsville to start at their own 20. He also had a 35 yard field goal and 5 extra points.
Week of 9/22/16 - Kevin Williams '18, Varsity Football
Kevin Williams not only ran 63 yards for a punt return touchdown, but also ran a kickoff return for a touchdown as well. He had 173 all purpose yards.
Week of 9/30/16 - Jackson Hipp '18, Varsity Soccer
In a 5-1 defeat of Asheville School, Jackson Hipp had a hat trick. He has well over 10 goals on the season and had the game winner against Rabun Gap this week.
Week of 10/15/16 - Wade Mouer '17, Varsity Soccer
Wade Mouer, who scored the game winning PK against ACA to win the Conference Championship, was named Conference Player of the Year, and All-State in 3A NCISAA.
Week of 10/30/16 - Drew Johnson '17, Varsity Football
Quarterback Drew Johnson led the Greenies to a 47-16 win over Asheville School. He completed 22 of 30 for 321 with 5 touchdowns with zero interceptions.
Week of 11/18/16 - Sage Holley '17, Varsity Football
With 127 yards and touchdowns on Offense and 16 tackles with 2 sacks on Defense in the State Semi-Final game against Ravenscroft, Sage Holley is your Greenie of the Week.

Week of 1/20/17 - Matt Halvorsen '17, Varsity Basketball
During a week in which the Greenies Basketball team went 2-1, Halvorsen averaged 20 point per game and knocked down 11 three pointers. In the second against Asheville School, off a lay up in the lane, Matt scored his 1000th point at Christ School. With 1057 point currently, he sits 10th all time in scoring and is the season three point record holder (111) and now career three point record holder with (245) and counting.

Week of 1/20/17 - DeAnte Green '21, Little Greenies Basketball
DeAnte Green had another huge game for us, registering a double double with 23 points and over 13 rebounds. While it is clear he carries us game in and game out offensively, I am most proud of the leadership skills that he has shown to me, along with his teammates. I have definitely seen him grow in this regard over the course of the season, and I know that having this role as our captain and one of our leaders will serve him well throughout his Christ School basketball career. With 21ppg and 15rpg for the week, DeAnte is your Greenie of the Week!

Week of 2/5/17 - Max LeCroy '19, JV Basketball
For the season, Max LeCroy '19 averaged nearly 20 points per game and 10+ rebounds for the JV Basketball Team. He helped lead the team to a perfect 17-0 record. He is your Greenie of the Week.
Week of 2/24/17 - Kokayi Cobb '17, Indoor Track, Morgan MacDonald '17 - Swimming
Kokayi Cobb ’17 competed in the University of Kentucky meet setting the school record in the 400 meeting running a 49.19. It was the 14th fastest 400 in the state of North Carolina. That time qualified him to run in New York at the Indoor Nationals Meet.
Morgan MacDonald ’17 – At the state meet, Morgan swam three preliminary races and three finals races, swimming personal bests in all of them including school records in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly. He finished third in both those events and helped the 200 Medley Relay finished third as well.

Voted Most Valuable Field Athlete, Won 3 races and set 4 personal bests

Scored the most points in the meet and helped Christ School win it's 1st ever Buncombe County Track Championships team title.

William Fleming went 7 for 8 with an 6 RBI, 5 runs, a three run homerun and defeated Tuscola on the mound with 8 strikeouts.

In three wins last week, Jackson Hipp hit .500, had 7 RBI, 9 runs scored to go along with 4 homeruns.
